Live scoring

Every ball. Every goal. As it happens.

One player scores a cricket or football match on a phone at the ground, and LTP works out the score on our servers from what they record. Everyone else follows it live, from wherever they are.

What gets tracked

Cricket
Runs, wickets, extras and the over count, with a full scorecard building underneath as the innings goes. A tied or abandoned match can be recorded as a draw.
Football
Goals, cards and the match clock, updated in real time. A level score at full time can be recorded as a draw.

One link, no app needed to watch

The scorer can share a link that opens in any browser, and anyone with it can follow the score, the scorecard and the ball-by-ball or goal-by-goal feed. Watchers do not need an LTP account.

A match link is off by default. The scorer turns it on, and can turn it off at any time, which stops links already shared from working. Anyone with an active link can see the names on the scorecard.

Built for a long afternoon

The scorer can undo the last ball or the last goal, and hand the scoring phone to someone else if the battery is dying. Ending the match proposes a result, and the other captain confirms it before it counts toward either side's rating.

Why just cricket and football

Live scoring is built sport by sport, and cricket and football are first because they are the two sports most LTP players report a match for. The other eleven sports, from basketball to chess, still get challenges, an ELO rating and a full match record, just not a live scoreboard yet.
